How to SPSC:
Quinn suffers from chronic bouts of sleep paralysis, a condition wherein the mind wakes while the body stays asleep, the inversion of sleepwalking, if you will. In this broken wakefulness, the mind wanders and creates visions and sensations of things that do not exist from the limited data available: a shadow cast from a streetlight becomes the shape of a person standing in the corner, the whirr of a fan becomes the sinister whispers of all the ways you can die. It's a bad time.
Sleep Paralysis Social Club (SPSC) is Richmond, Virginia's loudest and saddest rock and/or roll outfit (source needed). Fueled by a lack of sleep, an indomitable DIY ethos, and an overwhelming need to scream until the demons are out. What began as Quinn's therapeutic solo recording project has been brought to the stage in the last year with addition of Bobby, Charlie, and Adam to the SPSC roster. We're a good band. We promise.
